    Thank you for the detailed article. Default Magento offers very limited options when it comes to creating, configuring and sending Gift cards. The best idea is to use an extension which offers more flexibility and options. I highly recommend the one from FMEextensions. I wanted to implement the gift card functionality in my store and after doing some research I found that it has more features and is price competitive.
